2010 reads

  • crown of thorns
  • as sure as the dawn
  • an echo in the darkness
  • a voice in the wind
  • i love you to the moon and back (this was written by a father whom list his son to cancer)
  • the postcard
  • lords of chaos
  • the fires of heaven
This is not an exclusive list as I got a bit side tracked in December as you all know. I read many more nonfiction books after that into 2011. I guess I will go start my 2011 postings and updates some of my sidebars some more.

I LOVE book lists! I have not heard of several of these and am excited to check them out. Are these personal reads, read alouds or a mix? Just curious.

These are my personal reads. The voice in the wind is a series, Christian fiction that was very good, you might really like them. the other is a long book series that Dylan read and loves but I have trouble getting through, it is secular, MOSTLY clean sci fi but lots of rambling in it..

Why MAGNANIMOUS?

Noah Webster's 1828 Dictionary of the American Language defines Magnanimity as such:
MAGNANIM'ITY, n. [L. magnanimitas; magnus, great, and animus, mind.] Greatness of mind; that elevation or dignity of soul, which encounters danger and trouble with tranquillity and firmness, which raises the possessor above revenge, and makes him delight in acts of benevolence, which makes him disdain injustice and meanness, and prompts him to sacrifice personal ease, interest and safety for the accomplishment of useful and noble objects.
