It's finally done! Here it is. I have placed this in my new Etsy shop for some person to purchase and have for their very own. I love it. It is so soft and flowing and sweet. Feel free to let others know about this. All proceeds go to paying off medical bills.

remember this crochet lovely?

Do you all remember these sweet little flower granny squares I was working on awhile back? Well, I got it out again and I am determined to finish it even though I am up to my eyeballs with house work, yard work and graduation open house getting readiness!! I absolutely need to get my hands on any of the unused colors for my other project I am working on. I am going to try to sell some of my homemades to help raise money for some bills that have to be paid, so if you happen to know someone who loves my crazy crochet style blankets, please send them my way.
Here it is...

I think it looks a bit like a tasty rainbow sherbet treat, don't you?

do teens have to grow up?

I can't believe my boy is graduating! I tease about them having to grow up because we do have a healthy view 'nest leaving', but it is surreal looking at this child. I truly remember the day I first laid eyes on this precious boy and how much love burst throughout my chest. I really do!
What a big weekend. Braveheart had his 'official' last day of chemo drugs so we are fully rejoicing in that. What a nice feeling to not count the time and give that bedtime chemo one hour after eating. Dylan had his finals at college last week and a home school dinner banquet to attend. What a cool dad to let him and his buddy go in the Miata. He had to dress snazzy for it, which I loved, but him, not so much. Then our church had a special celebration as they do every year for whoever is graduating. Here are two fine young graduating men. May God guide them, protect them and use them mightily.

unschooling illegal??

I am sure some of you have seen the report on the news that covered the 'unschooler' families right? Well, I have to tell you, I don't 'unschool' nor do I particularly advocate it. My kids tend to need a little more guidance over here. I admit, I was a little astounded by the coverage. I do think there are 'seasons', but I don't think that can actually be called 'unschooling'. However, I can see the value it may have in 'some' families. I can understand how we cannot over regulate those few so as to maintain the freedom of the majority. (ie. no homeschooling allowed due to a very few being abused) Now this being said, I found what I thought was a very truthful, interesting article concerning the ABC covered story.

fantastic fiction is fantastic!!

My librarian shared a most 'fantastic' site with me that I just have to share with you all!! It is called FANTASTIC FICTION. This place lets you put in the author, title, series whatever and sometimes there is even a biography of the author and in color it lists all the books that author has written and all the series!! It is just fantastic! :))) Check it out and let me know what you think as I think you will love it as much as I do.

We are just so very happy to report the great news of Braveheart's results of his CT scan and bone marrow biopsy, being all clear! Praise the Lord. No words can describe all that we feel. Thanks for your prayers and continued prayers as we build up his immune system and attempt to get him cured forever.....

Why MAGNANIMOUS?

Noah Webster's 1828 Dictionary of the American Language defines Magnanimity as such:
MAGNANIM'ITY, n. [L. magnanimitas; magnus, great, and animus, mind.] Greatness of mind; that elevation or dignity of soul, which encounters danger and trouble with tranquillity and firmness, which raises the possessor above revenge, and makes him delight in acts of benevolence, which makes him disdain injustice and meanness, and prompts him to sacrifice personal ease, interest and safety for the accomplishment of useful and noble objects.
