scout bonfire complete

I have never seen Braveheart do so many things while on more than a maintenance chemo before. I am astounded! He loves making lots of plans to go places and food is always on the agenda with his food cravings from the medicine. Last night the scouts were over for a bonfire. We had beautiful weather all week up until this day. Then the rain was supposed to come and the Lord held it off the whole night. B had to wear a mask due to his counts being so low. If he were to get a fungus from the wood it could be deadly for him. We had such a great night. Blessings.

crossing over to Boy Scouts

Secret Agent is officially a Boy Scout now! I only wish his brother Braveheart could have been in line with him, but he was fighting a bronchial virus that night and wasn't feeling well. We are very excited for them to experience all their adventures in scouting together.

pinewood derby

Here they are, finally. Look at this one above and see all the work that my man did to help the kids make really cool cars. He loves it and is really good at it. My kid's cars always win, it's amazing. Glenn's even won the family and championship races!! He and I ended up racing each other in the family race. It was fun.

scout rank advancement

Braveheart earned his Tenderfoot last night. This was quite an accomplishment considering all he has been through. He has been unable to participate as thoroughly as he would have without his chemotherapy. It was worth the hard work. We are very proud of him. He and all of us are excited for Scouts post treatment. 88 days left!!!

Scouts had a pack meeting and we had to come up with a quick treat so we tried to use what we had around the house and we made a small little batch of frosting and used our licorice and chocolate chips to make a monster snack...it was pretty tasty too.

This next snack won the prize at the meeting and T got to be the one to eat the creature! Yuck.

This is a big hit with the boy folk around here. Dad loves cars and really goes to town helping the boys build really cool cars.

rockets with dad

We actually had a Sat. that everyone was home together and Bryce felt well enough so dad took both the boys to a cub scout outing where they built and shot off rockets! They had a blast. I love the shots Glenn got of the boys in mid air. It makes my heart feel joy to see Bryce well enough, between treatments this phase, to jump into the air. Visions of him unable to go upstairs unaided still linger in this grateful mother's heart!
