keep'er weaving

We had our first real keepers meeting last month. Here are some late posted photos from the event. Note to self: Don't ever forget camera at meetings! :)

This made a wonderful ending to our FIAR Anna book as the girls learned about the terms like shuttle and the way in which a loom works with their own scaled down version. Mrs. Patty came through in a pinch for hosting our gathering, serving refreshments too. Thanks Patty.

The girls listen diligently to Mrs. Stacy giving the lesson before they begin.

Working hard.

Here's her completed book marker! This was fun and I learned as much as she did on this one.

Hey there, Friend!

I'm FINALLY working my way around to responding to comments. Before I do.. I wanted to say THANKS for being so sweet and for the comments you've left. It's been a TRUE PLEASURE getting to know you. ☺

Now, in one of the last comments you left, (the one on "In Christ Alone") you said this,

"nice video...goosebumps. how can i get that? :)"

Now, I THINK we're probably BOTH convinced at this point that I'm a bit of an airhead.. hehehe... I'm not really sure that I understand what you were asking. (I'm REALLY SLOOOOOOW)

Were you asking how to add the code to your blog? Or where did I find that particular video. I DO apologize for being such a dingbat.. but it is what it is. HA! ☺

OH, that's a REALLY COOL post! I'd LOVE to learn something useful. ;-)

Why MAGNANIMOUS?

Noah Webster's 1828 Dictionary of the American Language defines Magnanimity as such:
MAGNANIM'ITY, n. [L. magnanimitas; magnus, great, and animus, mind.] Greatness of mind; that elevation or dignity of soul, which encounters danger and trouble with tranquillity and firmness, which raises the possessor above revenge, and makes him delight in acts of benevolence, which makes him disdain injustice and meanness, and prompts him to sacrifice personal ease, interest and safety for the accomplishment of useful and noble objects.
