tea anyone?

Today we are starting the next book in our Little House Series. We often times have well more than one book going on around here. We have the bedtime read, the school time everybody read, the girly girl read, the boys read, not to mention the others in between and the individual silent reading books!! Whew..that makes me tired just thinking about it. Although, I must add that this last year we have been on the very slow side while we have another life changing family assignment. :) We love our curl up and read aloud time.

A and I decided to surprise the boys with a tea party to go along with our story. She helped me prepare the delights. This is so much fun.

Tea is pretty!

"I am the Tea Princess," she informed me.

Mmmmmm................

Well, I guess the boys weren't as impressed.

This look says it all!!

Those boys' faces are priceless! We love having tea and sometimes have similar faces here.

Thank you for visiting my dollhouse blog. I'm sorry it's taken me a couple of days to answer you. I've been busy getting back to "normal" after the holidays.

I left you a comment there, but I'll leave pretty much the same thing here.

First of all, I'm sorry to hear about your sick child. My heart goes out to you.

The rooms in our new doll house are 9 inches deep. In the old doll house, which we still use and love, the rooms are 11-1/2 inches deep and probably even greater in height. I think you can use any size that you like. Just have fun!!

Here's the link to the tiered twirly-skirt tutorial.

Why MAGNANIMOUS?

Noah Webster's 1828 Dictionary of the American Language defines Magnanimity as such:
MAGNANIM'ITY, n. [L. magnanimitas; magnus, great, and animus, mind.] Greatness of mind; that elevation or dignity of soul, which encounters danger and trouble with tranquillity and firmness, which raises the possessor above revenge, and makes him delight in acts of benevolence, which makes him disdain injustice and meanness, and prompts him to sacrifice personal ease, interest and safety for the accomplishment of useful and noble objects.
