good friends cheering us up

Nothing can cheer up a kid who just had two painful chemo shots in his legs like a special visit to his buddies from afar. This family lives in a town not far from Iowa City and their mom has been my best friend since 8th grade. We spent the afternoon visiting. The children playing and the moms encouraging one another (especially me). It was good to get some much needed friend time. I am so thankful we went because right after we got home the chemo kicked in and gave B a bit of a bun kicking as well for a few days.

FRIENDS FROM AFAR

Here are two peas in a pod. They are pen pals, 4 months apart and play so well together when we can get meet up!

Thank God for friendships...it is soothing to the soul...(and chemo injections) :)

Tonya, thanks for contacting me. I am praying for you all with Bryce's diagnosis and chemo. So glad you were able to spend some time with good friends! L is an encourager for sure. ~Beth

Why MAGNANIMOUS?

Noah Webster's 1828 Dictionary of the American Language defines Magnanimity as such:
MAGNANIM'ITY, n. [L. magnanimitas; magnus, great, and animus, mind.] Greatness of mind; that elevation or dignity of soul, which encounters danger and trouble with tranquillity and firmness, which raises the possessor above revenge, and makes him delight in acts of benevolence, which makes him disdain injustice and meanness, and prompts him to sacrifice personal ease, interest and safety for the accomplishment of useful and noble objects.
