Merry Christmas to all from,
Magnanimous!!
I was given this lovely, mostly wool, with knobby bits, crochet yarn, a couple years ago. I fiddled around with it some in the past, but never really made anything. Eventually, like most winters, I start hankering for a mindless, hook sensational, crochet project. I was so happy hooking away at this. It turned out much better than I even suspected it would. I love the way it feels, the way it flows and falls so comfy on my lap, so soft and yet somewhat heavy. I ended up falling in love with the soft, muted colors.
What do you think?
It was so easy, as every therapeutic, mindless crochet project should be.
Here's the hook scoop:
Single crochet stich, J hook, chain across (don't remember number of stitches, so measure what you like) alternating non-equal stripes, for variety, leaving just enough to round out the edging with a lovely single, skip stitch. It turned out to be about baby blanket or lap size.
I love it, especially next to the Christmas tree.
Now, on to the next project for the rest of the winter.
