FUN CITY!!!!

Fun City was great! We have been trying to plan this since B finished phase 4 and here we are, finally there. We wanted to do something simple, but special to celebrate together as a family. We also brought our 5th kid, good family friend Casey.

We started out the first night bowling in the fun atmosphere of black lights and pizza. Hey, there's T just chillin'. He really has some skill at this game too.

The big boys are drummin' to a different beat on this electronic game. And you thought there was no exercise with these games. :)

We had to try the race cars. The kids (including the big kid here) loved those little race cars. I even raced and have formed the opinion that it was fun for the first 2 rounds then it starts to shake the stomach around a bit. I am sensitive that way.

Water park water slides.

Look at that thick hair!! It is so fun to rub it after he gets out of the pool and it gets all wavy and curly. He tells me has been praying that it won't end up curly, but I thought it was adorable. He won't mind it too much.

Daddy's birthday is Tuesday and he is 40!!
Can you believe it?
We had some cake and sang to him.
Happy Birthday honey, you're the best!

CAUTION: what you are about to see next could be disturbing to some of you, so view with caution as you are about to witness a sensitive, smelly teen filled domain.....be glad there is no smello-blog right now! :)

Tonya,

It's SO NICE to meet you! Now, did I read right? You also lost a son named Brent? Was it to cancer? Or do you have a different child with cancer? I apologize for being confused.. I'm a little, wait, scratch that.. I'm A LOT "slow" and it doesn't take much to go over my head. ESPECIALLY when I'm all excited! (I'm excited to meet someone I have so much in common with.. our names, for one.. a child with cancer.. and having lost a child.. if I read that correctly?) I'd love to hear your story! (I did read your profile) ☺

Thanks SO MUCH for stopping by and saying hello! It was WONDERFUL to "meet" you!

Hey, I just reread your comment.. SORRY for the confusion! For some reason I was thinking you said you'd lost a child too. Man, I'm SO BLESSED to see that your son is doing well!

Keep on praising HIM, Sister!

Again, it was a BLESSING to have met you! ☺

Hi Tonya,

So nice to meet you. I'm very close friends with Tonya, Brent's mom.

You have so much in common!!(how neat!)

She is just a sweetheart. I know you will love getting to know her.

I'm also a mom of a child that had cancer.

He's in remission now, doing well.

Blessings♥

Tonya,

I too hope we can become great online friends. It's just crazy the similarities in our lives. I mean, we're both named "Tonya" and both have sons named "Brent" and both of our families dealing with childhood cancer. I mean, WOW!

I do wish we'd have met and bonded under different circumstances, but hey.. it is what it is! Right? My attitude is much like yours.. to bring HONOR & GLORY to CHRIST in ALL THINGS great and small!

Oh, I don't know if I even commented on your pictures earlier? You've got a VERY BEAUTIFUL family! ☺

Have a WONDERFUL "rest of your week" and an amazing Easter!

Love,
Tonya

Why MAGNANIMOUS?

Noah Webster's 1828 Dictionary of the American Language defines Magnanimity as such:
MAGNANIM'ITY, n. [L. magnanimitas; magnus, great, and animus, mind.] Greatness of mind; that elevation or dignity of soul, which encounters danger and trouble with tranquillity and firmness, which raises the possessor above revenge, and makes him delight in acts of benevolence, which makes him disdain injustice and meanness, and prompts him to sacrifice personal ease, interest and safety for the accomplishment of useful and noble objects.
