in my basket monday

Hey, I just made that title up...is that dorky? I thought it was kinda cool. Maybe it's already out there and I don't even know it. Maybe it will stick with me, maybe it won't. I love seeing what others are up to and just taking photos is fun....


Just a hat for my 5th child Casey. (very good friend of first born)


Baby blanket for cousin's new born baby boy. I am trying to use up stash here and I love simple crochet patterns that don't involve much thought but allow me to relax and 'create' all at the same time. I made this up but it's not rocket science or overly creative.

Pop over to my blog, and you'll see my latest efforts. I am very pleased with it anyway. I might have a go at crochet or knitting soon, but I was never any good at it as a child, so who knows?

Why MAGNANIMOUS?

Noah Webster's 1828 Dictionary of the American Language defines Magnanimity as such:
MAGNANIM'ITY, n. [L. magnanimitas; magnus, great, and animus, mind.] Greatness of mind; that elevation or dignity of soul, which encounters danger and trouble with tranquillity and firmness, which raises the possessor above revenge, and makes him delight in acts of benevolence, which makes him disdain injustice and meanness, and prompts him to sacrifice personal ease, interest and safety for the accomplishment of useful and noble objects.
